Inspired by the Kuba People of the Congo
Kuba cloth is a ceremonial textile handcrafted by the Kuba people of the Democratic Republic of Congo, using fibers from the Raffia tree. The leaf is skillfully processed, dyed, and woven into bold geometric patterns, often representing proverbs, social status, or ancestral stories.
Our sock design mimics the structured lines and maze-like shapes of Kuba cloth with a contemporary interpretation, bringing centuries-old design to your everyday wardrobe in a wearable, comfortable form.
🌍 Crafted with a Nod to Mali’s Bamana Mud Cloth (Bogolan)
We’ve layered this design further with influence from Bogolan, also known as mud cloth, a traditional hand-dyed fabric created by the Bamana people of Mali. Bogolan is made by applying fermented mud to handwoven cotton to produce earthy, symbolic motifs.
Our reinterpretation captures the contrast-rich, story-filled designs of Bogolan, transforming their deep cultural symbolism into bold, wearable art for your feet — blending history, storytelling, and craftsmanship.

Delivery Timing
We use Royal Mail (untracked) for all of our deliveries. Tracked shipping can be selected. Shipments to addresses within the UK take 1-2 days (Please note that UK deliveries are currently extended up to 7 days due to extreme delays within Royal Mail) EU deliveries take 5-7 days and US/rest of the world deliveries are 5-10 days.

We know you will LOVE your new Afropop Socks, but we understand that sometimes things don't always go to plan. Returns and exchanges are admitted in any incidence of incorrect sizes or styles being delivered.
Refunds are only authorised where the item is faulty. Please get in touch with us via email with photos and we will arrange a return.
Changing An Order: If you need to make changes to an order whether it be a new shipping address, or different products, please get in touch via email using the title CHANGE in the subject line. If you order has not yet been dispatched we'll be able to make changes for you. After orders have been shipped we will need to go through the exchange process.
